Sweet Potatoes trial

Alison seemed to like sweet potatoes. And after a few days of trying sweet potatoes, she seems excited to eat them.

"I want to take the spoon and figure this out...."

6 Months already!

At Alison's check up she received 5 total shots! Painful for both parents and baby, but Alison seems to be tolerating everything okay. She weighed in at 13 lbs 10 oz (9%), measured 26 inches in height (60%), and her head circumference is 16 3/4 (53%).

A little delayed in the 6 months photos b/c Alison turned 6 months last week, but that just means that it is time for an update. 6 months brought on new experiences like sitting and starting solid foods. Fun times.

Mmm, Toes

Alison has fun discovering her toes lately. She can even chomp on her big toe! So cute! Of course she made sure I didn't catch that action on camera. :)

5 months!

The 5 month mark brought on a new trial in that Alison was sick for the first time. Unfortunately, Alison had a urinary tract infection. Luckily she is healing with antibiotic (even though the antibiotic brings on its own set of issues) and she is returning to her happy baby state quickly! Chuck and I are learning as we go but try to give her the best care possible.

Alison rolled over on September 4th after we returned from Aundrea's 10 yr high school reunion. Here is my attempt at a video for viewing Alison's awesome rolling maneuver.

I thought the video camera was on for the first time but unfortunately it wasn't recording. Luckily she decided to roll again for the camera. Lately she has been rolling from her back to her stomach instead. Once she figures out how to keep on rolling, we might have a mobile baby girl!

(The sound is a little ahead of the picture at least on my computer so not sure how I messed that up but enjoy anyway!)

4 Months

Alison went for her 4 month visit last week. Slow and steady is the way we are growing! :) Stats:

24 1/2 " (48%)

Let's play dress-up

Alison is modeling clothes that Aundrea wore when Aundrea was a baby. This dress was one that Aundrea wore on her trip home from the hospital. She must have been swimming in it!
Alison tolerated the dress-up game.

This dress is a favorite of Alison's Gran and Grandpa.

And this outfit was made by Aundrea's Grammie. One was made for Corrine that matched it.

Alison might be ready to figure out a way to flee the dress-up session for now. There's sure to be more dress-up sessions in her future. She's a pro.
