Baby Dedication

I'm trying to get the hang of posting more updates on the blog. Here are a few pictures of the special day we had for the baby dedications of Alison and her cousin Milo.

At first I wondered if Miles was hiding under the blanket in the above picture but then I realized that he was taking a trip up and down the aisle.

Update: Only 7 months later!

So many things have happened since the last post that I'm not sure I will begin to recap everything, but figured I would write a little note to say that I have reason to get back in the swing of the whole blogness. Maybe only 4 weeks (give or take a week) until I can post about baby Alison coming into the world. :)

Chuck and I have been busy preparing the nursery and ourselves for the addition to our family. And Flurry looks at me funny sometimes and I almost wonder if she knows whats going on. She has had to adjust to me not being able to run around with her as much and she seems concerned when I have a headache or just need to rest more often. We think she will be good most of the time. Her 1st birthday is March 28th. She will then be entering the rank of "adult dog". We'll see how that goes but we're hopeful for the best!

I know that not many people have had reason to check this out lately, but hopefully I'll get better at using it as a means to keep in touch a little more. Pictures to follow!

Trip to Fayetteville--Sisters!

I enjoyed making a trip to Fayetteville and visiting my sister last weekend. I took the opportunity to purchase a bassinette for Kaleb.

And of course a little newborn onesie with a giraffe by the pocket. So cute!

Can anyone guess what this is? I wasn't sure at first, but it is in fact, an owl. This is the first present Corrine has ready for Kaleb.

We thought we would take a few pictures that would show the cute pregnant belly! Kaleb has been moving around quite a bit in his mom's belly!

Mellanee and Symphony and Xara came to meet us so I could see the new baby, Xara!

Fun times in July

Flurry loves the duck that we bought her. She carries it around quite a bit and squeezes it to make quacking sounds like a duck and it also rustles like a duck in the leaves.

I think she wants to put the duck in the oven.

Flurry has shown her trouble-making side and even though we keep the doors in the hallway closed, the bathroom door wasn't quite latched once and she found her way in.... Only a matter of seconds that we didn't have our eyes on her and she decided that it would be fun to play with the toilet paper....

Bad dog. Don't eat it. Let go.

I think that Flurry might have succeeded in eating a little bit, but all is okay after the dust settled. We learned in our obedience classes that we can say give or trade and hold something in front of her that she wants more and she will drop what is in her mouth. Usually it is a treat or a water bottle that gets her attention.

More fun, more Flurry, more summer to follow

We were able to enjoy birthday celebrations, father's day celebrations, and fun times with the Pittsburgh Penguins Stanley Cup victory! We decorated Chuck's car, made a banner before the big game and then cupcakes for Chuck's birthday...

Flurry is growing and playing and becoming such a great addition to our family!

Sometimes her ears are both up or one up and one down or both down. It might be interesting to see how they stay....

Our back yard...with plants/flowers and bird bath!

A few changes...

New car. New puppy. New challenges. Kind of tired at the moment, but happy. So I hope you all enjoy a few pictures of Flurry. Fun times!

Yes, April showers....

Definitely believing the April showers bit right about now. April had a few highlights like Palm Sunday, Easter, and a few more R/C racing adventures. We also helped Mom and Dad Dickson celebrate their 34th Wedding Anniversary. Spending time with family is always a joy and we look forward to more fun times! We have been thinking about different projects for around the house and have most recently been cleaning and organizing things in our garage. We will be having a garage sale soon so at least that is a little bit of a motivating factor for spring cleaning.
