Park and a sunny day

I took Friday off of work to spend more time with Alison around her birthday and the day before her party. We enjoyed a nice sunny day out around the town. Alison went many places with me like Hy-Vee, the bank, WestLake, jewelry store, Wal-Mart, the park and then home for lunch. Alison checked out most of the playground.

Feeling the mulch but making sure not to eat it....

Drive the boat.

Another tunnel...

And some swing time was fun.

A stop in the gazebo....

Alison turns 1!

Our baby girl is 1!
She weighed in at 19 lbs. 1.6 ounces (19%)
Height: 29" (47%)
Head: 18" (69%)

Easter celebration--Kleinhagen's

We attended 9:00 Easter Mass and then went to Grandmom and PopPops to continue celebrating.

Snoopy and Woodstock wearing bunny ears. The ears flapped to the jingle that played....

Pretty girl.

After breakfast and a change of clothes, it was time to find surprises in the Easter basket.

"Look Daddy, it's a big bouncy ball!"

Outside for an egg hunt.

We test out the eggs before coloring them.

Yep, they are all good.

Easter celebration--Dickson's

We celebrated Easter a day early with Gran, Grandpa, Grammie, Uncle Luke, Auntie Amber, and cousins Levi and Milo. Alison studied everything before exploring....

Looking up after beginning to find fun things in her bunny basket.

A toy in each hand is the way to go.

I think someone might have been ringing a bell if I remember right.... Anyway, they are all looking around at something. :)

Milo might be concerned that Alison is getting ready to accidently remove the head of his bunny on a bicycle that she is currently testing out with her mouth.

Seeing what is in other's baskets is always fun too.

On the move.

"What's in your eggs, Alison?"

"Mmm. It's a treat, Milo."

"You can have one of my eggs and I'll have one of your eggs."

"I found one and maybe there's one on the floor somewhere...."

We enjoyed celebrating Easter, coloring eggs, finding eggs, eating a nice meal together, and relaxing too. Watching all the kids have fun is fun too!

4 miles, Palm Sunday

We participated in the Trolley Run on Sunday and Alison took her first bus ride to take us to the starting point. (Although not her first race since she participated in the Susan G. Komen 5k back in August.) Haldex has been participating as teams in many 5ks and other races as part of promoting healthy, active employees. This race happens to be 4 miles long. We took a stroll for the duration and sometimes jogged to keep things interesting.

We made it on one of the last buses so it wasn't very crowded. But there were tons of people in line so luckily we didn't miss the ride.

Alison is hanging on....

Action shot starting out on the course.

Alison fell asleep after the first mile.

On the way back to the car, Alison gave Daddy some smiles.
Then we hurried back home and got ready for church. We enjoyed Palm Sunday service and Alison played some with the palm leaves. Here are a few pictures of Alison in her dress after we returned home from church. Fun and event filled Sunday!

We are looking forward to Alison's first Easter.
